Smiling vetThe community is invited to bring nonperishable food items to donate to a food drive which will help veterans in need. Last year 5.6 tons of food was collected at multiple sites.

“Labor and Veterans – Partners in Service” is a project sponsored by California labor unions that spearheads helping veterans on three fronts: providing volunteer service, opening doors to good jobs and providing this special Veterans Day event to honor our heroes for their service.

Salute to Veterans will feature:

• Bounce houses and postcard project for kids
• Military vehicles and military reenactments
• 70 booths with information on services for veterans, including free health screenings, job access and resources

• Pacific Symphony Brass Quintet
