Voices – Veterans’ Storytelling Project

Voices: Veterans Storytelling Project is for mature audiences.
Veterans Initiative in the Arts is a special project presented by Arts Orange County in collaboration with Chance Theater and Heroes Hall Veterans Museum at OC Fair & Event Center. This program empowers veterans to use theater to talk about their experiences and help the community understand the life of a veteran.

Over the course of six weeks, Veterans Initiative in the Arts hosted weekly workshops culminated in a public performance at Heroes Hall. At the workshops, participants were given the opportunity to hear stories of other veterans and learn how to shape their own stories so they can be shared with others. Stories for the project were based about life before military service, during service or afterward.

Support for Veterans Initiative in the Arts comes from the California Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Arts Orange County, Chance Theater, Heroes Hall Veterans Foundation and OC Fair & Event Center.
