Winners of the contest to create clip art that decorates the Competition Handbook this year were announced by Youth Expo Manager Joan Hamill.
They are:

• Preschool. Sophie Beazley, 4 ½, Balearic Preschool. Sophie drew a
  young girl looking at planet Earth, surrounded by hearts.
• Grades K-1. Sophie Kaskavaciyan, 6, Minassian Elementary. A “garage
  sale” of nature’s animals and plants.
• Grades 2-3. Victoria Vasko, 7, Page Private School. A bowl of avocados.
• Grades 4-6. Ben Hsu, 10, Acaciawood School. A plea to “Keep the Earth as Green as Avocados.”
• Junior high, grades 7-8. Nguyen Nguyen, 13, Stacey Middle School.
  A picnic-in-the-park scene with a legend “Keeping the Earth Clean
  and Green.”
• High School, grades 9-10. Erica Chang, Fairmont Preparatory Academy-Anaheim. A hand holding half an avocado. The avocado seed is a representation of Earth, with a Band-Aid.
