Steven Beazley
President & CEO
Steven Beazley, President & CEO of the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC), began his 33-year career with OCFEC at 12 years old, armed with a sweeper pan, broom and shovel at the end of the daily parade at the OC Fair. Appointed as OCFEC’s President & CEO in 2008, he has worked in many capacities within the organization.
While working seasonally for the annual OC Fair, Steve spent four years as a member of the Tony Award winning regional theater acting company, South Coast Repertory, based in Costa Mesa, CA. In 1990, Steve switched gears and earned a bachelors, masters, and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Steve was a professor in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology while maintaining a psychology private practice in Newport Beach, CA.
After 23 years of contributing seasonally, Steve became a full-time member of the OCFEC management team. Over the past 10 years, Steve has been instrumental in elevating the annual OC Fair from 34th to 13th among the largest fairs in North America. |

Dena J. Heathman
Senior Vice President, Finance/ Chief Administrative Officer
Dena Heathman is the Vice President, Finance, for the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC), where she is responsible for overseeing the finance, accounting, human resources, purchasing, contracts, insurance, legal, admissions and communications functions. She plays an integral role in general management and strategic planning for the fair and year-round functions. Dena grew up in Fullerton, CA, where she was active as a youth in 4-H along with other activities. She first worked at OCFEC in the Livestock Department as a high school and college student.
Dena holds a Bachelor's of Science, Business Administration, degree with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Southern California and a Master's of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to joining OCFEC in 2000, Dena held a variety of accounting/finance positions at private sector companies including Rockwell International and AST Research, Inc. |

Doug Lofstrom
Vice President, Events
Doug Lofstrom is the Vice President, Events, for the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) and oversees the Marketing, Event Sales & Services, Entertainment and Public Safety departments.
Doug has been with OCFEC since 2000 and has held director titles for Planning & Project Management and Operations, as well as the title of Interim Equestrian Center Manager.
Doug was instrumental in introducing fairgoers to a diverse lineup in the Grandstand Arena at the Annual Fair including Demolition Derby, Lucha Libre (Mexican freestyle wrestling), Fiesta del Charro, Mariachi Festival, Extreme Rodeo and Latino Festival. Doug was also the guiding force for the 2007 and 2008 OC Fair cattle drives through Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach.
Prior to joining the OCFEC team, Doug had nearly 20 years of experience in the fairs and festivals industry at the Los Angeles County Fair, National Orange Show and the Farmers Fair of Riverside County. Prior to entering the industry, Doug was assistant vice president at Provident Federal Savings and Loan.
Doug has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Doug resides in Newport Beach with his wife Nancy. |

Jerome Hoban
Vice President, Operations
Jerome Hoban serves as the Vice President, Operations, for the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC). His duties include fair planning and layout, master plan, construction, event operations, facility maintenance, information technology, graphic design and presentation.
From Centennial Farm educational programs to event operations and capital planning, Jerome’s 16 years at OCFEC has exposed him to nearly every operational function in the fair industry. Prior to his current appointment, Jerome held the title of Director, Facilities, leading a team of six managers responsible for operation of the 160-acre event facility.
Prior to joining the Fair team, Jerome grew up participating in all the OC Fair had to offer. Through Scouts, FFA and 4-H, Jerome has spent his life learning and understanding the value the Fair brings to the Orange County community.
He earned an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University while working full-time for the Fair. His Bachelor's of Science degree in Agricultural Business, Marketing from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo gave him a strong foundation and understanding of agriculture and the need for the fair industry. He is also a graduate of the Public Assembly Facilities Management School (PAFMS). He is a member of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) and the Western Fairs Association (WFA).
Jerome has also earned a Class II Private Pilot’s License from the Federal Aviation Administration in 73 hours of flight training (which was a record for San Luis Obispo Airport). Aside from flying, Jerome enjoys home improvement projects, riding his horses on the Orange County trails with his wife, Lisa, a veterinarian and chasing his two-year-old son, Jackson. |
