Guided Tour Information - 2009/2010 Guided Tours

Who can reserve a guided tour?

• Guided tours are available to kindergarten through 3rd grade school groups. (Specific self-guided days are reserved for pre-school children and specialty groups).

Booking Procedure and Rules:

• Spring dates are the first to fill up, so please submit your online applications as early as possible if you want to book a spring tour.  The 2009/2010  tour season will run from October 1, 2009 - May 28, 2010.
• Reservations can only be made online. Please do not call to schedule a field trip. Once you have selected your field trip date and submitted your information, your date will be HELD. A final confirmation/teacher contract will be e-mailed to you once your submitted field trip information is approved. Please review this contract carefully for any changes made to your field trip. The return of the signed teacher contract to Centennial Farm will be the final step in securing your field trip date.
• There is no charge for parking or admission, but donations are gratefully accepted.
• Tours begin promptly at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and last approximately 1½ hours (if busing schedules do not allow you to arrive by 9 a.m., it will be necessary to schedule your tour for 11 a.m.) Please remember to allow extra travel time for 9 a.m. tours as traffic may cause delays and tour times cannot be extended.
• Groups may not exceed 30 students. Classes exceeding 30 students must be split into smaller groups (and book enough spaces to do so).
• Tours are considered a part of your student's day in the classroom; please do not bring siblings.
• Chaperones are limited to one (1) chaperone for every 10 children per group.  One head teacher for each class is not counted in the chaperone count.
• The Farm is not open to the public while tours are in session.
