Jerome Hoban - VP, Operations

Jerome Hoban
Chief Executive Officer

Jerome Hoban is the Chief Executive Officer for the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC). Previously, he was the Vice President, Operations.  

From Centennial Farm educational programs to event operations and capital planning, Jerome’s 18 years at OCFEC has exposed him to nearly every operational function in the fair industry.

Prior to joining the Fair team, Jerome grew up participating in all the OC Fair had to offer. Through Scouts, FFA and 4-H, Jerome has spent his life learning and understanding the value the Fair brings to the Orange County community. 

He earned an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University while working full-time for the Fair. His Bachelor's of Science degree in Agricultural Business, Marketing from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo gave him a strong foundation and understanding of agriculture and the need for the fair industry. He is also a graduate of the Public Assembly Facilities Management School (PAFMS). He is a member of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) and the Western Fairs Association (WFA).

Sharon Augenstein ~ Vice President, Finance/Administration

Sharon Augenstein
Chief Financial Officer

Sharon Augenstein is the Chief Financial Officer for the OC Fair & Event Center (OCFEC) and is responsible for the leadership of OCFEC’s finance, human resources, entertainment and communications functions.

Sharon, a Huntington Beach resident, has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from UCLA. In her 20 years of experience in management, Sharon has held key positions at Tickets.com, El Pollo Loco, and Resources Global Professionals.
