Fairing Well: Missing the OC Fair? Visit Centennial Farm!
Fairing Well: Missing the OC Fair? Visit Centennial Farm!
Do you already miss the OC Fair? The rides may be packed up and the smell of kettle corn is long gone but you can still get your fix of baby animals at Centennial Farm.
Over the past few weeks, the Farm has welcomed the births of twin goats and two sets of twin lambs. The piglets born during the summer Fair are now at a fun, rambunctious age and can be seen wrestling or playing games of chase. There are also adorable chicks on display, chirping and huddling together in fluffy packs.
Centennial Farm is open year-round and September is an especially great time to visit since it is open to the public from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. When school tours resume in October, it will be only open to the public from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. If you have preschool-aged children, this is a great time to take advantage of the weekday morning hours. Admission and parking are free to attend the Centennial Farm when large all-grounds events are not in progress.
