OC Fair & Event Center Welcomes Fall with The Red Barn Dining Event Oct. 1


Second Event of Series Features Menu by Executive Chef Greg Daniels of Haven Gastropub

Costa Mesa, Calif. (September 15, 2016) – The OC Fair & Event Center presents the second edition of The Red Barn – A Farm to Fork Experience at Centennial Farm on Saturday, October 1 with a fall-inspired dining event featuring a gourmet, locally sourced, four-course meal created by Executive Chef Greg Daniels of Haven Gastropub that is paired with wine selected by the Orange County Wine Society. Dinner is set in the cozy and beautiful Millennium Barn and guests will kick-off the night with a cocktail hour in Centennial Farm with wine tastings, appetizers and guided tours of the Farm.

Chef Greg Daniels is the executive chef and partner of the Haven Gastropub in Orange, CA. Chef Daniels is best known for creating dishes that push the boundary of what is commonly known as pub food. Since graduating from Le Cordon Bleu program at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, Daniels has pursued culinary excellence at his restaurant and a variety of special culinary events.

For the October 1 event the menu will feature:

First Course: Focaccia with cultured butter and a salad composed of Centennial Farm lettuces, heirloom tomatoes, Breakfast radish and creamy mustard vinaigrette

Second Course: Pumpkin gratin

Third Course: Herb-crusted leg of lamb with jus and celery root puree, onions, and grilled eggplant

Fourth Course: Rye whiskey apple tart with whipped mascarpone and sheep’s milk yogurt

Tickets are $150 per person and include dinner, wine, parking, tax and gratuity. Seating is limited for each dining experience and menu substitutions are not permitted. The Red Barn dining series is a new venture by the OC Fair & Event Center to offer a unique and intimate experience for foodies in the beautiful and natural setting of the Centennial Farm and Millennium Barn. The Farm is a three-acre working farm designed to educate about agriculture and its importance to daily life as well as pay homage to the County’s and State’s agricultural roots.
