OC Fair Named No. 8 Top Fair in U.S. By Industry Magazine, Venues Today
Costa Mesa, Calif. (January 18, 2011) – The 2010 OC Fair earned the No. 8 spot as Top Fair in the U.S. for attendance in an annual industry analysis by Venues Today magazine. The OC Fair jumped up a spot from 2009. The 2010 OC Fair enjoyed a record-breaking attendance of 1,153,969 under the theme “The Beat Goes On.”
Announced in the January issue of Venues Today, the ranking listed attendances of Canadian and U.S. fairs. Also in 2010, Pacific Amphitheatre, the marquee concert venue at the OC Fair, was ranked No. 7 world-wide for attendance against similarly sized venues by Venues Today.
“We are proud to be ranked in the top ten highest-attended fairs in the U.S.,” OC Fair & Event Center President & CEO Steven Beazley said. “2010 was our highest-attended Fair in our 120 years and we can confidently say that we have raised the bar for our future Fairs. Now is not the time to rest on our laurels but to elevate the event to even greater heights in 2011. This ranking is a testament to the hard work of our Board, staff and vendors and to the great community spirit exhibited by those who gathered at the Fair in 2010.”
The 2011 OC Fair runs July 15-August 14 and is open Wednesday-Sunday. The theme is “LET’S EAT!”
