Rebelution / Collie Buddz / Iya Terra
Friday & Saturday, July 12-13, 6 p.m.
Tickets start at $30.50

Fan favorite Rebelution returns to Pacific Amphitheatre, this year to help kick-off the 2019 OC Fair’s opening weekend with performances on July 12 and 13.

Fourteen years into an effervescent career, California reggae band and touring juggernaut Rebelution remains abundantly creative. Its members (singer/guitarist/lyricist Eric Rachmany, keyboardist Rory Carey, drummer Wesley Finley, and bassist Marley D. Williams) are as focused and committed as they are easygoing and laid-back. 2018’s Free Rein, their sixth studio album, while still rooted in the Jamaican inspiration that Rebelution’s songs and sounds have always paid homage to, takes experimental leaps and new adventures, welcoming old fans and new audiences alike.

Rebelution will perform both days with support from Collie Buddz and Iya Terra.

Collie Buddz, best known for his single “Come Around,” exploded onto the scene a few years ago when critics and tastemakers alike embraced him. From Vibe Magazine to Entertainment Weekly, Collie Buddz made quite an impression with music critics. His latest release is 2017’s Good Life.

As the genre of Reggae music is continuously evolving, Los Angeles-based Iya Terra has found a way to take the messages of traditional Roots-Reggae and seamlessly mash them up in a today version. Iya Terra released their first full-length album, Full Circle, in 2015. They released their follow-up album Sacred Sound in 2017.

Why Don’t We
Thursday, July 18, 7:45 p.m.
Tickets start at $32.50

Bring the whole family for a fun performance by Why Don’t We, featuring Daniel Seavey, Jack Avery, Corbyn Besson, Zach Herron and Jonah Marais, on July 18.

Since forming in September 2016, the members of rising dance-pop group Why Don’t We have enjoyed several moments they describe as “surreal,” including hearing their single, “Something Different,” on Los Angeles’ influential radio station KIIS FM for the first time; watching their EP, Why Don’t We Just, hit No. 1 on the iTunes Pop chart; and learning that their summer headlining tour sold out. At the end of 2017, they released a holiday EP, A Why Don’t We Christmas. Their latest release is the 2018 Top 40 single “8 Words.”

Dwight Yoakam / Midland
Sunday, July 28, 7:30 p.m.
Tickets start at $40

Country music will take the stage on this summer night when Dwight Yoakam performs with special guest Midland on July 28.

Dwight Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and is a 21-time nominated, multiple Grammy Award winner. He has 12 gold albums and nine platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart, and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Nearly 40 of Yoakam’s singles have charted on Billboard, with 14 peaking in the Top 10. In 2016, Yoakam released his bluegrass album Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars…. Featuring a band of bluegrass luminaries, this album boasts a collection of reinterpreted favorites from his catalog, as well as a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.”

Hailing from Dripping Springs, Texas, lead vocalist Mark Wystrach fronts Midland’s rich sound that is rounded out with lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy. Their critically acclaimed freshman album, On the Rocks, earned the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Album Sales chart upon release. Midland was named New Vocal Group of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards and their current single “Burn Out” is Top 15 at Country Radio.
