Costa Mesa, Calif. (April 30, 2019) – Events happening in May 2019 include the OC Marathon, Goat Yoga and more.
♦ May 3-5, OC Marathon
The 15th annual weekend event includes the OC Marathon, the OC Half Marathon, the OC 5K and Ultimate Finish Line Festivals. Participants can also enjoy the OC Lifestyle & Fitness Expo and watch thousands of children finish their final mile in the Kids Run the OC program.
When: Friday, May 3, 4-8 p.m.; Saturday, May 4, 8 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, May 5, 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
How much: Pricing varies. Parking is $9 on Friday & Saturday, $10 on Sunday.

♦ May 11, Sand Sports Super Swap
The Sand Sports Super Swap is a one-day opportunity for off-road enthusiasts to “swap” their sand toys and equipment. Sellers of new and used quads, dune buggies, motorcycles, tires, engine parts, helmets and anything for the off-road enthusiast are welcome.
When: Saturday, May 11, 7 a.m.-2 p.m.
How much: $10 general admission; free for children 10 and younger. Parking is $9.

♦ May 11, March For Babies
March For Babies is a 5K fundraising event benefiting March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization that helps raise funds to support research, advocacy and programs for the health of all moms and babies.
When: Saturday, May 11. Registration at 7:30 a.m., start time is 8:15 a.m.
How much: Registration is free, and fundraising is optional.

♦ May 11, Farm class: Urban Chickens Demystified
Whether you want to get started with chickens, or already have an established flock, this class will showcase why you should equip your garden with these amazing multitaskers. Attendees will learn the essentials for creating a personalized feed blend that meets the needs of your chickens and will be able to craft a sample to take home.

♦ May 11, Costa Mesa Speedway – Jack Milne Cup
For 50 years, Speedway races have entertained spectators with the thrill of speed, precision and sliding around turns the motorcyclists perform. With a 185-yard oval track, the noise and atmosphere promises an electrifying time.
When: Saturday, May 11. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., qualifying is at 6 p.m., first race is at 7:30 p.m.
How much: $20 general admission; $15 seniors (65+), military and juniors (ages 13-17); $10 children (ages 3-12); free for kids 2 and younger. Parking is $9.

♦ May 18, Goat Yoga at Centennial Farm
Things will get wild at Centennial Farm when Goat Yoga returns, giving participants the unique chance to do yoga with baby pygmy goats who like to frolic and climb on yogis. For those not ready to hit the mat with animal friends, there will be free playtime and photos with goats and the chance tour Centennial Farm.
When: Saturday, May 18. First session is 8-9:15 a.m.; second session is 9:30-10:45 a.m.; third session is 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
