Ziggy Marley, STYX, Chicago added to the 2019 lineup at Pacific Amphitheatre


Costa Mesa, Calif. (Jan. 22, 2019) – The OC Fair has announced three more shows coming to Pacific Amphitheatre during the 2019 Toyota Summer Concert Series. Tickets for these shows go on sale Saturday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m.

Ziggy Marley and very special guest Toots and the Maytals will hit the Pacific Amphitheatre stage on July 19. The eldest Marley son is an eight-time Grammy award-winning musician and reggae icon who released his seventh full-length solo studio album, Rebellion Rises, in 2018. Fully written, recorded and produced by Marley, this passionate and indelible new collection of music encourages people to stand together in activism through love. Other releases include the Grammy award-winning albums Love Is My Religion, Ziggy Marley: In Concert and Fly Rasta.

Get ready for some epic anthems as STYX heads to Pacific Amphitheatre on July 24. Formed in 1972, STYX, best known for their string of hits including “Lady,” “Come Sail Away,” “Too Much Time on My Hands” and “Renegade,” became the first band to score four multi-Platinum albums in a row: The Grand Illusion (1977), Pieces of Eight (1978),Cornerstone (1979) and Paradise Theater (1981). STYX has now added a triumphant new chapter to its never-ending story of success: namely, The Mission, the band’s sonically sweet 16th studio album and most ambitious, most challenging, and most rewarding release to date.

The signature sound of the Chicago horns will be heard during the 2019 OC Fair on July 26, along with their iconic vocalists and a few dozen classic songs including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park” and “If You Leave Me Now.” This year marks the band’s 52nd consecutive year of touring, without missing a single concert date. Chicago was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. Their first album, Chicago Transit Authority, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2014. Robert Lamm and James Pankow became inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. To date, Chicago has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, with 23 gold, 18 platinum, and eight multi-platinum albums.

Tickets to these shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and include admission to the 2019 OC Fair. More performances and action sports at the Fair will be announced in the coming months. Sign up for pre-sale emails at ocfair.com/newsletters.
