December 2019 events at OC Fair & Event Center


COSTA MESA (Nov. 19, 2019) – Events happening in December include a Christmas tree lot, OC Taco Festival, Share Our Selves Adopt A Family program, Winter Fest OC and more.

♦ Nov. 30-Dec. 1, Crossroads of the West Gun Show

Two-day gun and western Americana show with guns, accessories, tactical gear, ammunition, safes, personal protection products and more.

When: Saturday, Nov. 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 1, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
How much: $18 general admission; children 12 and younger are free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parking is $9.

♦ Nov. 30-Dec. 18, Seasonal Adventures Christmas Tree Lot

Explore Christmas trees in all shapes and sizes with this massive lot featuring the freshest-cut trees you’ll find.

When: Saturday, Nov. 30, through Wednesday, Dec. 18, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. in Lot E

♦ Dec. 5, Fight Club OC

Pro Boxing and Pro MMA come together for a show featuring a 40-foot big screen with instant replay, 14 VIP Suites and guaranteed fun.

♦ Dec. 7, Make It, Take It – Gifts From The Kitchen

Pamela Wnuck, a University of California Cooperative Extension Master Food Preserver of Orange County and the OC Fair Culinary Arts Supervisor, will share her passion for cooking with fresh garden ingredients and priceless tips on preserving the harvest.

When: Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-noon at Centennial Farm. Must register by Dec. 5.
How much: $25 fee covers ingredients and handouts.

♦ Dec. 7, OC Taco Festival

Fans can vote for their favorite taco, meet some of the area’s leading taco makers and, of course, purchase tacos for $3 each in a wide variety of options. The festival will also feature Lucha Libre Wrestling, a Tiny Taco Dog Beauty Pageant and a Hot Chili Pepper Contest.

When: Saturday, Dec. 7, noon-4 p.m. at OC Market Place
How much: $15 general admission in advance, $20 at the door (admission does not include tacos tokens); $65 “primo” ticket in advance, $75 at the door (“primo” ticket includes early admission and 10 taco tokens). Taco tokens are $3 each or $20 for 7. Children 12 and younger are free.

♦ Dec. 7-8, Holiday Classic Dog Show

The Shoreline Dog Fanciers Association will host its annual all-breed conformation and obedience show.

♦ Dec. 16-19, Share Our Selves Adopt A Family Program

This holiday season marks the 50th year of the Share Our Selves annual Adopt A Family Program. This holiday tradition supports many struggling Orange County families by providing gifts and food for the holidays. This year, the Adopt A Family Program will connect donors with more than 1,400 families with children recommended by Costa Mesa and Santa Ana organizations and schools.

When: Saturday, Dec. 16, through Tuesday, Dec. 19; volunteer hours vary. To volunteer or to adopt a family, you need to register by Dec. 11.

♦ Dec. 19-Jan. 5, Winter Fest OC

Enjoy 18 days of fun as the fairgrounds are transformed into a massive winter wonderland of attractions and live entertainment. Winter Fest OC features a redesigned outdoor ice skating rink, ice tubing down the 150-foot long Snowflake Summit, Snow Play with fresh snow daily, Yowie’s Sweet Shoppe, SoCal Dickens Village and more!

When: Open every day from Dec. 19, 2019, through Jan. 5, 2020; hours vary.

You will create a holiday-inspired terrarium that will last you well into the New Year and beyond. Everything you need to design your terrarium is provided – just bring yourself and your creativity!
