John Wayne Airport and the OC Fair & Event Center Celebrate OC Fair’s 125-Year History by Unveiling Fair Play Art Exhibition


Costa Mesa, Calif. (July 15, 2015) – John Wayne Airport and the OC Fair & Event Center unveiled a new exhibit entitled Fair Play to commemorate the OC Fair’s 125th Anniversary and celebrate some of the most important, memorable and fun aspects of the Fair. The newest exhibit is in John Wayne Airport’s (JWA) Vi Smith Concourse Gallery Fair Play features 23 themes that delve into Fair subject matter as varied as competitions, food, exhilarating rides, games, year-round working farm, colorful entertainment and horse racing history.

Fair Play will be on view in John Wayne Airport’s Vi Smith Concourse Gallery from July 15 – December 2, 2015. The exhibition can be viewed when departing or arriving at John Wayne Airport.

The exhibition was curated by Stephen Anderson and Bolton Colburn for the OC Fair & Event Center. RCS (Ray Cammack Shows) of Arizona and Capri Show of Fullerton generously lent objects for the exhibition.

It’s “One Big Party” for the 2015 OC Fair, July 17-August 16, as it celebrates its 125th anniversary with 23 days of food, rides, shopping, exhibits and animals. Enjoy world-renowned performers in the Pacific Amphitheatre and exciting events in The Hangar and Action Sports Arena. The Fair is open Wednesday-Sunday. Concert tickets, action sports reserved seats, single-day general admission and the popular Super Pass are available for purchase online at ocfair.com or from the on-site Box Office. Free parking and shuttle service are available on Saturdays and Sundays from the Experian parking structure located off the Bristol St. exit of the 405 freeway.
