Ramon Ayala headed to Pacific Amphitheatre this summer; plus, New Wave Night completes Fair-time lineup
Costa Mesa, Calif. (May 31, 2022) – OC Fair announces the completion of the Toyota Summer Concert Series lineup with New Wave Night on Aug. 7. The show will feature Sweet & Tender Hooligans – The Ultimate Smiths and Morrissey Tribute Band with Devotional – The Depeche Mode Experience and Substance – A New Order Tribute.
The 2022 Toyota Summer Concert Series at Pacific Amphitheatre features 23 nights of performances during this year’s OC Fair, which will run July 15 through Aug. 14.
Pacific Amphitheatre will also feature several post-Fair shows, which now includes legendary Ramon Ayala with Conjunto Primavera on Aug. 28.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

As the “ultimate tribute to Morrissey and the Smiths,” L.A.-based Sweet & Tender Hooligans have been paying homage to the legendary British indie band for more than two decades. Led by singer Jose Maldonado, the six-member band has been named one of the best tribute bands in Los Angeles by LA Weekly.
Plus, frontman Freddie Morales is coming out of retirement to lead Devotional on a tour through Depeche Mode staples in this fan favorite tribute band, and Orange County’s own Jeff Johnson brings New Order’s sound to life with Substance.

Ramon Ayala has mastered the art of accordionist/vocalist/songwriter for more than 40 years. He has defined norteño music with signature songs and definitive instrumental styling that have made him a superstar on both sides of the El Rio Grande. He has more than 100 albums under his belt and he also took part in 13 movies. Most norteño groups today use Ramon Ayala’s style as their musical foundation. Ramon Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte are: Ramon Ayala, Fidencio Ayala, Jose Luis Ayala, Mario Marichalar, David Laure and Raul Rosales.
Conjunto Primavera is a Mexican conjunto group from Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México, currently produced by Alejandro Garcia. In the 1990s and 2000s they became one of the most popular groups in the genre. The band has released several gold-selling albums and has been nominated for many Latin Grammy awards.

Tickets to these shows go on sale to the public Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster. The OC Fair Box Office at Pacific Amphitheatre will be open Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets to performances that occur during the OC Fair include same-day admission to the OC Fair. The 2022 OC Fair is July 15-Aug. 14, open Wednesday-Sunday. Advance tickets are required.
