Set your SummerFest plans for Pacific Symphony concerts at Pacific Amphitheatre

Lineup includes “Symphonic Springsteen: Bruce in the USA”; the iconic Kenny Loggins; live music for “Jurassic Park,” with the movie on the big screen; the fabulous B-52s; and much-loved annual favorite, “Tchaikovsky Spectacular”

COSTA MESA – Tickets are on sale now for Pacific Symphony’s inaugural summer concert series at Pacific Amphitheatre, launching a new partnership between the Symphony and OC Fair & Event Center.

This is an exciting new chapter for Pacific Symphony and its patrons, as the orchestra settles into its new summer home in Costa Mesa where it will perform under the stars throughout the season, giving a new audience of fairgoers the chance to enjoy its unique lineup.

The SummerFest series starts July 4 with a patriotic celebration featuring the music of Bruce Springsteen and culminating in a magnificent fireworks display. Next, the season heats up on July 12 with pop star Kenny Loggins belting out his classic hits like “Footloose” and “Danger Zone.”

On July 20, the B-52s will be joined by the Symphony to rock Pacific Amphitheatre with party classics like “Rock Lobster” and “Love Shack.” This year’s movie under the stars spotlights John Williams’ classic score to “Jurassic Park,” performed live Aug. 19 as the blockbuster movie is shown on the big screen.

To conclude the series, the annual favorite, “Tchaikovsky Spectacular,” bursts with fireworks for the “1812” Overture on Sept. 9.

“We welcome Pacific Symphony and its patrons to Pacific Amphitheatre and look forward to giving our fairgoers and concert attendees an amazing variety of music,” said OC Fair & Event Center CEO Kathy Kramer. “This will be a season to remember.”

While the location may be new, after nearly 30 years of performing at the now-closed Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, the Symphony continues to offer the same high-quality experience, jam-packed with exhilarating and magical music. Patrons can expect a more comfortable and intimate experience at Pacific Amphitheatre, with remodeled seats and an inviting atmosphere. Picnics overflowing with goodies, pre-concert entertainment and the company of family and friends all remain part of the annual Symphony summer series.

“Wherever and whenever Pacific Symphony performs – winter, spring, summer or fall, we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that our Symphony family has an exciting and rewarding experience,” says the Symphony’s Music Director Carl St.Clair. “We are all so excited to begin our new SummerFest at the Pacific Amphitheatre at OC Fair & Event Center.”

Single tickets are currently on sale, ranging from $25-$99. Three-concert subscription packages for the Symphony’s SummerFest 2017 range from $63-$252. For more information and to purchase tickets, call 714-755-5799 or visit www.pacificsymphony.org.
