Smokey Robinson and Michael McDonald with Chaka Khan to perform during the 2019 OC Fair


Costa Mesa, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2019) – The OC Fair has announced two more shows coming to Pacific Amphitheatre during the 2019 Toyota Summer Concert Series. Tickets for these shows go on sale Saturday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson’s career spans over four decades of hits. He has received numerous awards including the Grammy Living Legend Award, and has been inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame. Robinson founded The Miracles while still in high school; their single of Robinson’s “Shop Around” became Motown’s first #1 platinum hit on the R&B singles chart. In the years following, Robinson continued to pen hits for the group including “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “Ooo Baby Baby,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Tears of a Clown” and “I Second That Emotion.” He later turned to a solo career and continued his tradition of hitmaking with “Just to See Her,” “Quiet Storm,” “Cruisin’” and “Being with You,” among others. Robinson will perform at Pacific Amphitheatre during the 2019 OC Fair.

On Aug. 2, two big performances will make for one amazing night as Michael McDonald and Chaka Khan each take the stage at Pacific Amphitheatre. McDonald has been awarded five Grammys and has been performing and recording for more than 40 years. His hits include “Sweet Freedom,” “Yah Mo Be There” (with James Ingram), and the Doobie Brothers classics “Takin’ It to the Streets” and “What a Fool Believes.” His latest release is 2017’s Wide Open. Chaka Khan has won 10 Grammys, released 22 albums and racked up 10 #1 songs on the Billboard charts. Following a platinum-selling album with Rufus in 1974, the Queen of Funk blazed onto the music scene as a solo artist in 1978 with the smash hit “I’m Every Woman.” Her upcoming album, Hello Happiness, will be released Feb. 15.

Tickets to these shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and include admission to the 2019 OC Fair. More performances and action sports at the Fair will be announced in the coming months. Sign up for pre-sale emails at ocfair.com/newsletters.
