Costa Mesa, Calif. (May 17, 2022) – OC Fair has added new performances to the Toyota Summer Concert Series at Pacific Amphitheatre and post-Fair season.
During the 2022 OC Fair, The Band Perry with special guests Lindsay Ell and The Joy Reunion will perform on Aug. 10 and The Psychedelic Furs with special guest ~X~ will perform on Aug. 14. Plus, Boy George & Culture Club will perform a special post-Fair show on Aug. 18.
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

The Band Perry recently took a detour into pop music but will bring country back to the OC Fair on Aug. 10. Lindsay Ell, a pop country singer who also hosts “Canada’s Got Talent,” and The Joy Reunion, a California country trio, will kick off the night.

The Psychedelic Furs may not have invented rock and roll, but their influence since arriving on the post-punk landscape four decades ago has resonated among those who cherish the sweet-and-sour spot where rawness and romanticism meet. Led by vocalist and songwriter Richard Butler, and his bass-wielding brother Tim, the Furs have amassed a multitude of major hits with “Love My Way,” “Pretty In Pink,” “Heaven,” “The Ghost In You,” and “Heartbreak Beat” in all releasing eight studio albums, spawning several compilations, a boxed set, a live concert DVD and inspiring one of the most iconic motion picture soundtracks of all time. Their latest release “Made of Rain” became the Furs’ second highest charting UK album ever.
Formed in 1977, ~X~ quickly established themselves as one of the best bands in the first wave of LA’s flourishing punk scene. Their debut 45 was released on the seminal Dangerhouse label in 1978, followed by seven studio albums released from 1980 to 1993. Their first two studio albums, Los Angeles and Wild Gift, are ranked by Rolling Stone among the top 500 greatest albums of all time. In 2020, X celebrated the 40th anniversary of Los Angeles with a surprise release of Alphabetland – their first new studio album, featuring the original lineup, in 35 years. The band continues to tour with the original lineup: Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom and DJ Bonebrake
Boy George & Culture Club

With a career spanning over 30 years, the Grammy Award-winners shot to international stardom in the 1980s as one of the UK’s biggest exports of the 20th Century. Culture Club was formed by front man Boy George and bassist Mikey Craig and were joined by Jon Moss and then guitarist Roy Hay shortly thereafter. Realizing they had a crossdressing Irish singer (George), a black-Briton (Craig), a Jewish drummer (Moss) and an ethnic Englishman (Hay), they settled on the name Culture Club, referring to the various ethnic backgrounds of the members. A multi-racial band, with an openly gay front man, Culture Club was ahead of the curve. Over the next three decades, the Boy George/Culture Club name became an iconic global brand.

Tickets to these shows go on sale to the public Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster. The OC Fair Box Office at Pacific Amphitheatre will be open on May 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets to performances that occur during the OC Fair include same-day admission to the OC Fair. The 2022 OC Fair is July 15-Aug. 14, open Wednesday-Sunday. Advance tickets are required.
