The OC Fair and Pacific Amphitheatre Remain a Top Ranking Attraction by Venues Today Magazine
2016 OC Fair Dates Set For July 15-August 14

Costa Mesa, Calif. (January 13, 2016) – For the second year in a row, the OC Fair was ranked the 8th largest fair in attendance in North America by Venues Today magazine and the Pacific Amphitheatre maintained No. 15 as a Top Stop for 2015. The OC Fair’s “One Big Party” and the Toyota Summer Concert Series at the Pacific Amphitheatre was July 17-August 16, 2015.
The overall attendance number for the 2015 OC Fair was marginally lower than the previous year but all other revenue increased from the prior year. The 2015 attendance was 1,301,445, gate revenue reached $7.1 million and Ray Cammack Shows, the OC Fair’s contracted carnival company, reported a total gross of $14.1 million.
The 2015 OC Fair, themed “One Big Party,” celebrated the annual event’s 125th anniversary and included a Cattle Drive with 100 horseback riders and 200 head of cattle parading through the streets of Costa Mesa, the new Fairenheit 32° with ice skating and Ice Museum attraction, a visit from Special Olympics delegates and 125th Anniversary-themed food specials including the $125 Deep-Fried Caviar Twinkie plus 23 days of family fun and entertainment.
The Pacific Amphitheatre was one of two Southern California venues that ranked a Top 20 spot for concert gross by Venues Today for its size (5,000-10,000 capacity). The 2015 Toyota Summer Concert Series in the Pacific Amphitheatre held 24 shows with a combined attendance of 151,736 and a total gross of $5,362,076. Sold-out shows included Gabriel Iglesias, Iration / Common Kings, The Band Perry / Annie McQueen, Steve Miller Band, The Offspring / The Interrupters, Three Dog Night / Jefferson Starship, Huey Lewis & The News, Chris Young / Danielle Bradbery, The B-52s / The English Beat and Steel Pulse / The Wailers.
