Upcoming events at OC Fair & Event Center in September


COSTA MESA (Sept. 1, 2021) – OC Fair & Event Center is host to more than 100 year-round events outside of the annual OC Fair. This month, the Toyota Summer Concert Series at Pacific Amphitheatre continues, the Original O.C. Swap Meet returns, and the Geico Sand Sports Super Show – a three day dune and dirt sport expo – arrives.

Heroes Hall, the veterans museum on the fairgrounds, has reopened as well, and Centennial Farm will reopen on Sept. 7. See below for event details.

♦ Chase Rice in concert, Sept. 2

Chase Rice, with special guest Breland, will perform at Pacific Amphitheatre in a special post-Fair concert.

♦ The Original OC Swap Meet, Sept. 4

This event was created to provide a space for local small businesses and the community to come together in an outdoor setting. Showcasing products and goods for all to buy, with the thought of bringing common items and at times unique ones for all to enjoy.

When: Saturday, Sept. 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where on the fairgrounds: Enter at Gate 10 or 3
How much: Free admission, $10 parking (credit card only).

♦ OC Fair Board of Directors meeting, Sept. 9

OC Fair’s Board of Directors meets monthly and will be conducted via Zoom and in person at OC Fair & Event Center. The meeting agenda will be available on our website prior to the meeting. The public is invited to watch or participate in this meeting via Zoom or in person. The meeting will also be recorded and posted on our website afterward.

♦ Pacific Symphony: Tchaikovsky Spectacular, Sept. 11

Pacific Symphony will perform Tchaikovsky’s thrilling “1812” Overture, complete with pyrotechnics. Plus, critically acclaimed pianist and International Tchaikovsky Competition Silver Medalist George Li joins the orchestra to perform Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini.

♦ California Bridal & Wedding Expo, Sept. 12

Find the perfect gown, DJ, photographer, reception venue, band, honeymoon destination and so much more. Whether you envision a formal black-tie affair or a casual barefoot ceremony on the beach, carefully selected experts are ready to offer advice in creating timeless memories for your perfect wedding.

When: Sunday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

♦ Geico Sand Sports Super Show, Sept. 17-19

The biggest and most exciting dune and dirt sports EXPO in the world, the Geico Sand Sports Super Show. Join us for three days of fun and get up close to the latest Sand Rails, UTVs, ATVs, Side x Sides, accessories, apparel and a whole lot more.

When: Friday, Sept. 17, 4-10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Where on the fairgrounds: Enter at Gate 3 off Fairview
How much: Online admission (through Sept. 16): $16 for one day, $31 for two day, $41 for three day. Prices increase starting Sept. 17 and at the door. Parking is $10.

♦ Fight Club OC, Sept. 23

Pro Boxing & MMA live inside The Hangar. The most fun you can have on a Thursday night in the OC!

♦ Farmers Market – Every Thursday

Shop local at this OC Farm Bureau-certified farmers market featuring produce, fresh flowers, fish, hummus, honey, hot sauce and more. Some vendors also sell hot food for lunch such as tamales and tacos/burritos.
