Costa Mesa, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2018) – Pacific Amphitheatre is already prepping for the 2019 OC Fair, announcing the first show of the summer concert lineup. “Weird Al” Yankovic will perform fan favorites on Aug. 8 as part of the Strings Attached Tour – a high energy rock and comedy show featuring costumes, props, a video wall and a full orchestra.

Weird Al has a long history at the OC Fair. In 2009 and 2010, his short 3D film Al’s Brain, about the human brain and its functions and starring celebrity guests, had its exclusive premiere and first run at the OC Fair. Weird Al has also performed several times at Pacific Amphitheatre and the Grandstand Arena (currently known as the Action Sports Arena) in years past.

“Weird Al” Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history, earning four Grammys and 15 career nominations. He is best known for his hilariously irreverent parodies of hit songs, including “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Amish Paradise,” “White & Nerdy” and “Tacky.”

Tickets for “Weird Al” Yankovic at Pacific Amphitheatre go on sale Saturday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster. Sign up to get presale codes via email at ocfair.com/newsletters.

The 2019 OC Fair is July 12-Aug. 11, open Wednesday-Sunday. Additional performances at Pacific Amphitheatre, The Hangar and Action Sports Arena will be announced in the coming months.
